中车大同在CR200J1-A的基础上生产的CR200J2-A,动力车参数和性能与CR200J1-A基本一致,拖车采用SW-220K型转向架,亦可与CR200J1-A或CR200J3-A重联运行。

于2019年06月06日进行招标,共92组(含样车2组)。

第二批92组中,CR200J2(大同)共7组,含两组样车,于2019年12月投入成都局集团运营。

CR200J第一代存在一系列的问题。采用和普速列车类似的车厢风挡结构,在过弯时会摩擦发出声音且气密性不足。较窄的车厢宽度导致坐席和过道宽度不足,影响乘坐体验。
