2017年03月,株洲动力车样车1001、大连动力车样车3001、唐山拖车样车4001、浦镇拖车样车4002曝光

2017年05月,株洲动力车样车、大连动力车样车、唐山拖车样车前往北京进行测试。

2017年06月19日,浦镇拖车样车前往北京进行测试。

2017年09月03日,株洲动力车样车1002、1003,大连动力车样车3002前往北京进行测试。

2017年12月17日,样车CR200J-1001 + 4001、CR200J-3001 + 4002在成都局成渝、兰渝和渝贵线进行试验,试验内容主要包括动力学、空气动力学、过分相、速度控制等。

2018年04月,样车CR200J-1001 + 4001、CR200J-3001 + 4002在兰渝铁路进行了动车全线拉通实验,之后前往乌鲁木齐继续进行测试。

2018年08月02日,样车CR200J-1005 + 4004与CR200J-1004 + 4003在哈尔滨局滨洲线进行测试并参与哈佳线联调联试。

2018年08月05日,样车CR200J-1001 + 4001、CR200J-3001 + 4002结束在兰新线和兰渝线的测试并分别返厂。

2018年11月04日,调整后的配色(绿)亮相,样车相继改色。

2018年11月28日,国家铁路局向中车大连、株机、唐山、浦镇颁发了时速160公里动力集中电动车组型号合格证和制造许可证。

2018年12月20日,最终定名为CR200J,唐+连短编组编号为1×××,浦+株短编组为2×××。

样车改号

CR200J-2001(FXD1-J0001)为样车,原CR200J-1 001+4002;后续部分机车进行了交换,目前CR200J-2001机车为FXD3-J0001(FXD3-J0001原为CR200J-5005机车之一),CR200J-1001机车为FXD1-J0001,恢复为试验阶段编组。样车CR200J-1001 + 4001即目前CR200J-1001 + FXD1-J0001、CR200J-3001 + 4002即目前CR200J-2001 + FXD3-J0001。样车无空调两侧的装饰罩,车窗尺寸与量产车也有所不同。

Existing problems and deficiencies

CR200J第一代存在一系列的问题。采用和普速列车类似的车厢风挡结构,在过弯时会摩擦发出声音且气密性不足。较窄的车厢宽度导致坐席和过道宽度不足,影响乘坐体验。

技术上支持任意方向重联,样车试验阶段中也进行过相关试验,最终投入运行时动力车采用詹式车钩,两端车钩不一致,仅支持控制车-控制车重联,重联后动力车在两端,受电弓间距不能适应不同双断口分相的无电区及中性区长度,超出大部分新建客运专线的要求,因此不能在大部分新建客运专线运行。
