2017年05月起,中国标准动车组CR400BF正式量产

2017年06月25日,中国标准动车组正式命名为“复兴号”。

2017年06月26日至06月30日,复兴号动车组担当京沪高铁G123/G156次和G155/G124次。

2017年07月01日至09月20日,复兴号动车组担当京沪高铁G1/G142次、G107/G4次、G143/G2次和G3/G12次

2017年07月27日,根据中国铁路总公司安排,复兴号CR400AF、CR400BF动车组在京沪高铁开展了时速350 km/h实车、实重和实速检验检测、可行性研究和运营安全评估,开行G350727,G727350次列车。通过全面系统的科学论证和综合评估,经过专家评审,京沪高铁满足设计时速每小时350千米的运营要求。

2017年09月21日起,复兴号动车组担当京沪高铁G1/G2、G3/G4、G5/G6、G7/G8、G9/G10、G13/G14、G17/G18次,按时速350 km/h运行,重新占领世界轨道交通第一速度。

CR400BF存在多种版本,首批25组二等座车因最开始设计定员85人,但实际增加一排座椅,调整为90人,车体已经按85人制造,因此窗、座相互不匹配(5001-5025),部分座位无法享受较大面积的车窗。另外,首批CR400BF在行李架下方增加了灯带,但是车内没有顶灯且顶部灯带靠近行李架,容易被行李遮挡出现车内照明不足,后期版本进行了改进,增加了横向照明灯。同时,与其他CR400BF不同的是,CR400BF-3106、3107使用永济电机YGZN2Q256型牵引变流器,其余为纵横机电TKD502A/B-2010型。从3106(2020年11月招标)开始的新一批CR400BF增加了独立的司机室门,便于司机乘降,也提高了商务座乘客的私密性。

2024年02月,原时速400 km/h可变轨距动车组列车完成相关试验后,更名为CR400BF-0031,配属天津曹庄动车所,详机见CR400BF(原可变轨距)。
