CR400BF-C EMU Train was born in December 2018, belongs to the CR400BF Smart edition series, 4M4T in marshalling, the hole length is 211.31 m, has a maximum design speed of 350 km/h, and 390 km/h in the experiment

CR400BF-C动车组是在CR400BF基础上,为京张高速铁路及2022年冬奥会设计的新一代8辆编组的耐高寒抗风沙的高速动车组,采用全新的外观型设计,智能化自动驾驶,增设动力电池,可在接触网失效的情况下继续运行至后续站点,采用TKD511E-2000牵引变流器。

2019年04月,CR400BF-C-5143下线并进入调试。

2019年07月,CR400BF-C-5143抵京试验。

2019年09月,CR400BF-C-5143前往郑州进行试验并参与郑渝高速铁路郑州至襄阳段联调联试。

2019年11月,CR400BF-C与BF-G进行重连测试。

2019年12月12日,CR400BF-C-5144抵达北京。

2019年12月31日,京张高铁开通首日,CR400BF-C-5144/5145投入运营,CR400BF-C-5143未投入运营并返厂进行改造。

2020年09月15日,首组增加独立的司机室门的CR400BF-C头车亮相。

2020年11月12日,CR400BF-C-5162抵京并参与京雄城际铁路河北段联调联试,该车增加了独立的司机室门,便于司机乘降,也提高了商务座乘客的私密性。

2021年01月19日,CR400BF-C-5162正式换装冬奥涂装并亮相。

2021年06月12日,原CR400BF-C-5143改造一新,更换车头部分并更名为CR400BF-GZ-5143,更换后的车头也增加了独立的司机室门,并采用全新商务座布局。

CR400BF-C共制造4组,其中5143改造并更名为CR400BF-GZ。5144、5145、5162目前(2023年12月)均在京张高铁运营。
