2019年9月,中国中车ZELC欧洲首列出口欧盟动车组列车抵达捷克。该车属于动力集中动车组,全列共6节编组,仅两端的转向架为动力转向架,动力转向架最大轴重19吨,中间车为铰接式转向架,轴重16吨,最大允许18吨。列车最高运行速度160 km/h,支持DC3000V和AC25KV两种供电制式,能够满足欧洲不同国家和地区的电压系统要求。采用智能控制技术,能够适应欧洲多种运行方式,具有自动停车、自动唤醒、自适应进站停车等功能。列车车门开度为1 m,高度为2 m,共设置314个座位。

该车最初由Leo Express采购,但由于长期未取得运行许可证合同已取消,目前由中车自费进行认证,并在捷克另一家私营运输公司RegioJet支持下,自2024年02月05日开始载客试运营,每天担当两对Ústín.L.—Kolín的R23线列车。

全列6节车厢,其中头车驾驶室后方的区域为商务座,以1+1布局,靠窗座位和过道座位交替排列,两端设有四个对座,座椅为电动调节但可调角度有限,座椅前方空间配备了腿托,可以实现半躺。

另外,该车有意思的是,在两节二等座车厢中设置了共24个“站座”,由最初的订购方Leo Express参与设计。三排“站座”的空间相当于两排二等座,小坐垫还可以调节角度,可以实现“半坐”或者倚靠在上方。不过这些座位并不出售,上方也没有标注座位号,据说这种站座是为了解决在购票系统中同一方向需求重叠的问题:例如列车沿途经过A-B-C-D四站,A-C段二等座已全部被占用,而B上车的乘客可以使用“站座”到C之后再乘坐二等座到D,以提高列车利用率,因此不会单独划分为一个比二等座更廉价的席别。

除已经投入试运营的两组列车以外,还有一列位于株洲厂内。
