相较CR200J3-B,CR200J3-C对坐席布局进行优化,座椅间距加大,全部座椅改为可旋转。增设有6个与CR400AF-Z款式相同的商务座,全车定员优化减少至676人,同时加设空调压力保护装置,优化车窗设计,提升隧道运行和会车时的舒适度(实际体验提升并不明显)。同时采用全新涂装,相对原涂装更加清爽。

2022年,成都局集团迎共6组最新型“复兴号”动车组全部用于新成昆铁路开行。

2022年12月12日,首批两组CR200J3-C出厂交付成都局集团并于2022年12月18日进行试运行。2022年12月23日组织媒体提前试乘新成昆铁路,第三代CR200J“复兴号”动车组正式亮相,2022年12月26日正式投入运营。

2022款6组列车除了涂装和乘客界面外,技术层面与CR200J3-B差异不大,而2023款CR200J3-C采用更先进的列车网络,动力车采用以太网控车技术,动力车的控制网络采用以太网和MVB网双网冗余控制,实现了双网热备,和既有型号一样可以实现不同制造商、不同型号的动力车、拖车、控制车互联互通互控动拖车。动力车在国际上首次采用双受电弓、双主断、双互感器结构,可靠性提升。列车可实现智能化编组技术,动力车能够自动识别编组类型,根据识别到的编组类型对列车供电等系统进行自动配置;列车拥有智能化诊断技术,动力车有完整的故障诊断智能化系统,对全列关键系统及部件进行状态监测,在车载状态显示界面进行显示并同步回传至地面,指导和协助列车操作与故障诊断与处置。采用先进的过分相不断电技术,在国际上首次利用变压器耦合技术实现了独立辅助绕组过分相辅助系统不间断供电功能,突破了独立绕组辅助系统不间断供电的技术瓶颈,为后续实现列供系统不间断供电打下基础。

同时,2023年生产的CR200J3-C在内饰方面进一步优化,餐车采用与CR400系列类似的设计,坐席和其他细节也进一步优化。
