CRH2型电力动车组是原中国铁道部为铁路第六次大提速中开行时速200公里列车于2004年起订购的电力动车组型号之一,由日本川崎重工基于新干线E2系研制并生产样车,通过技术转移、引进吸收后实现国产化,由青岛四方机车车辆股份有限公司继续生产的干线动车组,最高设计时速250 km/h。CRH2系列自2006年开始生产,至2017年停产,累计生产537组,其中CRH2A 120组,CRH2A统型369组,CRH2A综合检测车1组,CRH2B 10组,CRH2B统型17组,CRH2E 20组(其中1组改造为CRH2J),折合584标准组。
