2018年05月17日,唐山、浦镇长编组动集样车曝光。

2018年06月29日,唐山长编组样车7001前往北京进行测试,6月30日抵达。

2018年06月30日,浦镇长编组样车7002前往北京进行测试,6月30日抵达。

2018年08月21日,长编组样车7001/7002混编+动力车1002/3002在环铁进行测试,期间其他动力车也进行过测试。

2018年09月10日,长编组样车7001/7002混编+动力车1002/3002前往成都局进行测试。

2018年11月04日,调整后的配色(绿)亮相,样车相继改色。

2018年11月23日,长编组样车7001/7002+动力车1002/3002返回北京。

2018年11月28日,国家铁路局向中车大连、株机、唐山、浦镇颁发了时速160公里动力集中电动车组型号合格证和制造许可证。

2018年12月20日,最终定名为CR200J,唐+连长编组为5×××,浦+株长编组为6×××。

样车改号

CR200J-5001拖车为样车,原唐山样车7001;

CR200J-5005动力车(FXD3-J0001/2)为样车,原CR200J-3001/2;

后续部分机车进行了交换,目前CR200J-2001机车为FXD3-J0001(FXD3-J0001原为CR200J-5005机车之一),CR200J-1001机车为FXD1-J0001。样车无空调两侧的装饰罩,车窗尺寸与量产车也有所不同。

Existing problems and deficiencies

CR200J第一代存在一系列的问题。采用和普速列车类似的车厢风挡结构,在过弯时会摩擦发出声音且气密性不足。较窄的车厢宽度导致坐席和过道宽度不足,影响乘坐体验。

长编组动力车在两端,受电弓间距不能适应不同双断口分相的无电区及中性区长度,超出大部分新建客运专线的要求,因此不能在大部分新建客运专线运行。
